Kelly Saynor on the cover of Aesthetic Medicine magazine

Seeing myself on the cover of Aesthetic Medicine is a moment I will remember. But what I want practitioners to take from the October 2026 feature is the thinking behind the work: why I question things, why skin education matters to me, and why I believe patients deserve to feel understood.

The feature, Kelly Saynor Beyond the Box, looks at my journey through nursing, clinical practice, education and business. For the PRFKT® community, it is also an opportunity to get to know the person behind the products and training.

Why the story matters in clinic

When you choose a peel range or skincare partner, the formulation is only part of the decision. You also need to know who will help you understand it, how questions will be handled, and whether the education goes beyond an application demonstration.

My work with The Perfect Peel®, Glutaceuticals® and practitioner education comes from a continuing interest in how skin behaves. Why does one patient tolerate treatment comfortably while another becomes reactive? Why does pigmentation recur? What needs to change in the consultation before we change the treatment?

Those questions should shape the support practitioners receive. They also make better starting points for patient conversations than a promise of perfect skin.

Making different skin experiences visible

Inclusive practice needs more than a diverse photograph on a website. It requires an understanding of the patient in front of us, including their history, concerns, previous experiences and the way their skin responds to inflammation.

For practitioners, that means asking useful questions and recognising the limits of a standard protocol. It means discussing pigment risk carefully and making space for patients who have previously felt their concerns were overlooked.

The magazine feature gives a personal context to that commitment. The practical responsibility remains in the consultation room, where the right decision depends on assessment rather than assumptions.

A useful introduction to the PRFKT community

If you are new to PRFKT®, the feature is a good introduction to my approach. If you already work with us, I hope it helps explain why I keep coming back to education, skin biology and the importance of asking why.

Professional recognition is lovely. What gives it lasting value is the work that follows: useful education, honest conversations and support that helps practitioners make considered decisions.
