Renew on ITVX The Price of Perfection
Olivia Attwood’s The Price of Perfection has brought cosmetic treatments and the decisions behind them into a much wider conversation. Renew Medical Aesthetics, my Cheshire clinic, features in the Skin episode of series two, available on ITVX.
Series three is now available too. If you are looking specifically for Renew’s appearance, follow the link to series two, episode three. Keeping that distinction clear helps patients find the right programme and keeps our own content accurate.
Why being featured matters to me
The value of taking part is the opportunity to bring clinical practice into a public discussion about beauty and treatment. Patients arrive with questions shaped by television, social media and other people’s experiences. We need to be willing to have those conversations.
For PRFKT® practitioners, the appearance is a point of connection with the clinical work behind the brand. It gives you something relevant to share alongside your own explanation of consultation, treatment planning and homecare.
Being featured is not an ITV endorsement of a product or a guarantee of results. It also does not mean that every clinic using The Perfect Peel® was part of the programme. Accurate wording makes the story more credible.
A useful starting point for patient education
Ask patients what they noticed in the programme and what questions it raised. Were they surprised by the range of treatments? Did they understand why assessment matters? Are they comparing a television result with their own skin concern?
These questions can reveal expectations that would otherwise stay unspoken. They also help you explain why a consultation may lead to a different plan from the one a patient initially requested.
How practitioners can build their own content around it
A clinic post might say: “Seen The Price of Perfection on ITVX? The programme raises useful questions about aesthetic treatments. Here is what we discuss at a skin consultation before recommending a peel.”
Then answer one practical question in your own voice. Explain preparation, how you assess suitability or what follow-up involves. Link to the official episode rather than uploading copied footage, and use your own clinic photographs unless you have permission for publicity materials.
Avoid implying that Olivia received a particular PRFKT® product unless that claim is specifically supported. The stronger story is your expertise and the clarity you bring to the conversation.
